Our Mission

Plymstock United Church's mission statement is:

1. Grow in faith: So that we know what we believe, why we believe it, and put it into practice
2. Go with the Gospel: So that everyone whom we know has the chance to hear the Good News in a way that makes sense and to become a follower of Jesus.
3. Show the love of Jesus: so that our lives are living examples of Jesus' own love, bringing hope, comfort and healing into a hurting world.

What does this mean for the youth work?

We try to provide a safe environment for the young people where they can hang out with friends but also experience the love of Jesus. All our volunteers are committed Christians and we want to show the love of Jesus in what we do. We do not believe in "throwing the Bible down someones throat", but try to live out our faith in actions - not only word.
